Its bold chevron pattern — built from thick, luxurious cream pile over a deep charcoal base — creates a graphic “mountain peak” rhythm that feels both modern and deeply rooted in Amazigh weaving tradition.

Handwoven in the Middle Atlas by master artisans, Mrirt rugs are celebrated for their exceptional softness, dense pile, and impeccable craftsmanship. This piece carries all of that:

SOURCING & ORIGIN

This rug was personally selected during my recent sourcing trip, where I bid alongside local merchants at the daily criée berbère. By buying directly at the auction, we shorten the chain, ensure fair prices for the weavers, and handpick only the most exceptional pieces.
Woven in the Mrirt region of the Middle Atlas, known for producing some of the most luxurious pile rugs in Morocco.

CARE

– Regular light vacuuming is perfect — avoid using a beater brush.
– Shake or air it outside occasionally to refresh the fibers.
– For deeper cleaning: use gentle hand-washing techniques with cold water, or consult a professional experienced with wool rugs.
– Avoid machine washing.
– Let the rug dry flat in natural air and sunlight.
