These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the SOUK in the CITY online store.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our applicable policies, including our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. Our products
SOUK in the CITY offers a curated collection of handmade, vintage, upcycled and small-scale produced pieces, sourced primarily in Morocco alongside selected artisan products from elsewhere.
We make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph our products accurately.
Because many pieces are handmade, vintage or made from natural or reclaimed materials, variations in colour, dimensions, weave, texture, shape and finish can occur.
These variations are part of the individual character of the product and do not in themselves constitute a defect.
Colours may also appear slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting.
Where a product is unique or one-of-a-kind, the item shown in the product photographs is normally the actual item you will receive unless otherwise stated.
3. Prices
Prices displayed on our website are shown in the selected currency and include applicable Belgian VAT where required, unless otherwise indicated.
Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown separately during checkout.
Prices may change from time to time. A price change does not affect an order that has already been accepted by us.
If an obvious pricing or technical error appears on the website, we reserve the right to correct it.
If such an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before processing the order. You may then choose whether to proceed at the correct price or cancel the affected item or order for a full refund.
4. Placing an order
By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is complete and accurate.
After completing checkout, you will receive an electronic order confirmation.
An order may be refused or cancelled where there is a legitimate reason to do so, for example if:
- the product is unexpectedly unavailable;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- there is an obvious pricing or technical error;
- delivery to the requested destination is not reasonably possible;
- there is reasonable evidence of fraud, misuse or unlawful activity.
If we cancel an order after payment has already been received, the relevant amount will be refunded.
Because many of our products are unique or available only in small quantities, availability cannot always be guaranteed until your order has been processed.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
Payment must be completed using one of the available payment methods before an order is shipped, unless another arrangement has expressly been agreed.
Payments are processed through our authorised payment providers.
6. Shipping & delivery
Orders are shipped from Belgium.
Delivery options, shipping costs, estimated delivery times, international duties and other shipping information are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Please check your shipping address carefully before completing your order.
For consumer orders, the risk of loss or damage during transport remains with SOUK in the CITY until the goods have been physically received by you or by a third party designated by you, other than the carrier, where required by applicable consumer law.
7. Returns & right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Custom-made & personalised products
Certain products ordered through SOUK Studio or otherwise created specifically for a customer may be made according to individual specifications or clearly personalised.
Where applicable, these products may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal.
If an item falls within this exception, we will make this clear before the order is confirmed.
Customisation does not affect your legal rights if the product is faulty or does not correspond with what was agreed.
9. Faulty or non-conforming products
Consumers benefit from the statutory legal guarantee and other mandatory rights applicable to goods that are defective or do not conform to the sales contract.
If you believe a product is faulty, damaged or different from what was agreed, please contact us at joelle@soukinthecity.be with your order number and, where useful, photographs.
We will assess the situation and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
The natural characteristics of handmade, vintage, reclaimed or artisan-made pieces, as described on the relevant product page and in these Terms, are not in themselves defects.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website — including photographs, product descriptions, designs, branding, logos, graphics and written content — belongs to SOUK in the CITY / SCARPO bv or is used with permission.
You may view and use the website for personal purposes.
You may not reproduce, commercially use, publish, distribute or substantially copy our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
11. Use of the website
You may not use our website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent or intended to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or the data of others.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business.
12. External services & links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties, including payment, shipping, analytics and e-commerce providers.
Third-party websites and services operate under their own terms and policies.
SOUK in the CITY is not responsible for the independent content or practices of third-party websites that are outside our control.
This does not limit any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, nor does it limit any mandatory consumer rights.
SOUK in the CITY is responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by a failure to comply with our contractual or legal obligations.
We are not responsible for loss caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that this does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
For consumers, these Terms do not exclude or restrict any statutory remedies or guarantees.
14. Wholesale & B2B purchases
Where products are purchased for professional, wholesale or resale purposes, the transaction is considered a business-to-business purchase rather than a consumer purchase.
Consumer-specific rights, including the statutory consumer right of withdrawal, do not apply to B2B purchases.
Separate commercial arrangements may apply to wholesale orders, including pricing, payment, shipping, claims and minimum order quantities.
Where specific B2B terms have been agreed in writing, those terms take precedence for the relevant wholesale order.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary, for example to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.
The version applicable to your purchase is the version in force when you place your order.
Changes made afterwards do not retroactively alter an already concluded consumer contract.
16. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection granted to you under the law that would otherwise apply to you.
Any dispute will be handled by the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable legal rules.
