SOUK in the CITY
M’HEKKA Garland
Traditionally, Moroccan M'hekkas (pumice stones) are handmade in Morocco from terracotta clay and used on the feet, knees, elbows and other rough areas that require more exfoliation. It sloughs away dead skin and calluses to reveal soft, supple, and smooth skin.
You can find versions covered with hand-made vegetable sabra fabric all over the souk: it’s a feast for the eye.
We’ve designed some exquisite colorful garlands inspired by these stunning eyecatchers!
Each of them in a unique color palette: 2 meters long and consisting of 13 brightly colored disks, made of the heart of palm trees. That makes them 100% natural, light and unbreakable. The disks are 8 to 9 cm in diameter and covered with wool - all leftover material, making each piece different and 100% natural and upcycled.
Imagine them in your entrance hall, the kids room or even to brighten up your bathroom, as a reminder of its original purpose.
As a bonus, made Fairtrade by a Marrakech-based cooperative where women are taught traditional craftsmanship.
