This one-of-a-kind "recycled" rug is full of vibrant colors and was hand-knotted with care. It is a unique piece and originated from the creative mind of a Berber lady. Made mainly from cotton, this boucherouite rug features pieces of recycled cut cotton clothing woven into the base. Measuring approximately 1.8m x 0.9m, it showcases a beautiful blend of mostly orange shades with pops of black, pink, and blue in a diamond pattern.

I bid along with the local merchants on the criée berbère of the carpet souks in the heart of Marrakech, which means that most of the intermediate channels are skipped!

maintenance advice

This boucherouite rug is machine washable, but for best results, stick to vacuuming or beating and utilizing traditional methods with water and brown soap. And if you're feeling patient, let it bask in the sun to dry.

Because the boucherouite rug is vintage, there are to be expected some irregularities and signs of use and age. We think that this gives it that beautiful vintage character.
