This one-of-a-kind "recycled" rug is full of vibrant colors and was hand-knotted with care. It is a unique piece and originated from the creative mind of a Berber lady. Made mainly from cotton, this boucherouite rug features pieces of recycled cut cotton clothing woven into the base. Measuring approximately 2m x 0.9m, it showcases a beautiful blend of mostly blue and pink shades with pops of green, white and yellow in the female diamond pattern.

During my purchasing trips to Morocco, I always look for beautiful, unique pieces that fit nicely into our concept. I bid along with the local merchants at the 'criée berbère' at the heart of the carpet souks in Marrakech, which means that most of the intermediate channels are skipped!

This boucherouite rug is machine washable, but for best results, stick to vacuuming or beating and utilizing traditional methods with water and brown soap. And if you're feeling patient, let it bask in the sun to dry.
