Meet DOODLE — a Boujad with a wonderfully playful side.

This one immediately reminded me of the joyful, spontaneous character I love in Ourika rugs — except DOODLE is very much a Boujad.

Against a warm creamy wool base, colourful shapes seem to have been scattered freely across the rug. Turquoise, coral, pink, mustard, green, purple and black appear in diamonds, zigzags, crosses and wonderfully irregular little motifs, with one large central diamond pulling everything together.

What I love most is all the space in between. Rather than filling every centimetre with pattern, the motifs seem to float across the creamy background, almost like spontaneous drawings on a blank canvas.

Hand-knotted in wool, DOODLE has a beautifully tactile pile and plenty of visible handmade character.

And at 306 × 198 cm, this is a seriously generous rug — large enough to anchor a full living room, sit beautifully beneath a dining table or bring a huge dose of personality to a spacious bedroom.

CARE

Regularly shake out or gently vacuum using low suction and without a rotating brush.
Rotate occasionally for even wear and air outside from time to time to keep the wool fresh.
For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended. Avoid machine washing or soaking.
