BRIGHT is the name I give to this particular kind of Ourika rug I keep coming back for: a wonderfully soft, creamy wool base, finished with spontaneous lines and diamond motifs in bright, joyful colours.

I source these rugs through one of my trusted contacts in Morocco, who knows exactly what I look for. Whenever he has a new selection, we meet by appointment and he brings a cart full of rugs for me to choose from one by one. Because I buy several pieces at a time, I can source them at better prices — while still being very selective about which ones make it into the SOUK collection.

Vacuum gently using low suction and without a rotating brush.
Shake out regularly and rotate occasionally for even wear.
For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
Avoid soaking or machine washing wool rugs.
