A little bit of everything. 

Pink, mustard yellow, emerald green, orange, a touch of blue and even some black and white. TUTTI doesn't exactly believe in playing it safe with colour.

The chequered pattern is wonderfully irregular, with little blocks of colour running across a thick, textured Boucherouite surface.

Some cushions have more pink, others more green or yellow. The pattern changes depending on which part of the original textile was used.

And that's precisely what we like about them.

STRAIGHT FROM SIMO'S LATEST BATCH

There's always something new to discover at Simo's place in Marrakech.

New textiles arrive constantly, combinations are put together, and our trusted maâlem Ayoub transforms them into cushions. Sometimes, just a day or two later, they're already back in Simo's shop, piled up and ready for whoever gets there first.

During our October 2026 sourcing trip, we spotted this colourful chequered series among his latest arrivals.

We hadn't selected the original textile ourselves this time. Simo had already put the combination together, and Ayoub had worked his magic.

We just happened to be there at the right moment.
And yes, that colourful little pile was coming home with us!

COLOUR, CHECKS & LOTS OF TEXTURE

What makes TUTTI particularly fun is the combination of its graphic pattern and tactile surface.

The little squares aren't perfectly aligned, and their dimensions vary slightly throughout the fabric. The colours sometimes meet in unexpected places, giving the design a much more spontaneous character than a perfectly repeated pattern.

The Boucherouite textile has a thick, slightly shaggy surface, with individual strands and knots creating plenty of texture.

Bright enough to make a statement, but with enough variation to sit beautifully alongside other Moroccan textiles.
We especially like TUTTI mixed with striped kilims, vintage rugs and cushions in contrasting textures.
And really, there's no need to match everything.

UPCYCLED IN MARRAKECH

TUTTI belongs to our collection of upcycled Moroccan cushions.

Made using existing Boucherouite textiles, each cushion gives colourful woven and knotted materials a new purpose.

The original fabrics were selected and combined by Simo, then transformed into cushion covers by our trusted maâlem Ayoub in Marrakech.

Rather than producing identical pieces, the cutting and placement of the original textile create small differences between the finished cushions.
The result is a limited series of colourful, wonderfully textured cushions, each with its own arrangement of checks.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Professional textile cleaning recommended.

Avoid machine washing or tumble drying, as the original Boucherouite textiles contain mixed fibres with varying structures.

Gently shake or vacuum on a low setting when needed. Avoid pulling on loose threads and protect from prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve the colours.

HANDMADE CHARACTER

TUTTI cushions are individually made from repurposed Moroccan textiles.

Variations in colour, pattern placement, pile height, texture and weave are part of their handmade character.

The arrangement of the coloured squares will vary from cushion to cushion. Small irregularities and occasional loose fibres are natural characteristics of the original textile, rather than manufacturing defects.
