Boujad Rug — KASBAH LINES | 275 × 177 cm
One of a kind means exactly that: there is only one KASBAH LINES.
Its graphic composition, colour placement and hand-knotted details are unique to this piece. Small irregularities in shape, weave and pile are part of its handmade character, not flaws.
Meet KASBAH LINES — graphic, warm and wonderfully unexpected.
I found this one through Saïd, our trusted Boujad specialist in Morocco, and loved how different it felt from the more colourful Boujads in the same selection.
Its palette is beautifully warm and understated: creamy wool, dusty rose, muted plum and earthy brown, mixed with mustard, olive and strong touches of black.
But it’s the composition that makes KASBAH LINES really special. Large abstract shapes meet fine stripes, checkerboard details and irregular linear patterns, shifting from bold and almost architectural at one end to much more intricate at the other.
Hand-knotted in Morocco, the wool has a soft, tactile pile and plenty of handmade character. Nothing is perfectly straight or symmetrical — and it’s all the better for it.
At 275 × 177 cm, KASBAH LINES is a generous statement rug, but its softened colour palette makes it surprisingly easy to live with.
A neutral, but definitely not a quiet one.
