Meet KASBAH HEAT — a small Boujad with a whole lot of personality.

I found this one at the criée berbère in Marrakech as part of a larger sourcing round of smaller Boujad rugs — a format I’ve always loved because they’re so incredibly easy to use.

KASBAH HEAT combines warm reds, faded pinks, cream, black and little touches of ochre in a wonderfully free, almost abstract composition. Diamonds, lines and irregular colour fields seem to appear and disappear across the rug, without ever becoming too perfect or predictable.

Hand-knotted in wool, it has all the character we look for in a Boujad: expressive colour, spontaneous pattern and that beautifully imperfect handmade feel.

At 170 × 105 cm, it’s one of those rugs you can find a place for almost anywhere — beside a bed, in an entrance hall, in front of a cabinet, in a dressing room or layered into a larger living space.

Small enough to move around. Bold enough to change the room.

CARE

Regularly shake out or gently vacuum using low suction and without a rotating brush.

Rotate occasionally for even wear and air outside from time to time to keep the wool fresh.

For deeper cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended. Avoid machine washing or soaking.
