SOUK in the CITY
Boujad Rug – KISMET | 150 × 250 cm
One of a kind means exactly that: there is only one KISMET.
Its composition, colour placement and hand-knotted details are unique to this piece. Small variations in shape, weave and pile are part of its handmade character, not flaws.
Meet KISMET, a wonderfully expressive Boujad rug with an unusual mix of earthy colours, bold blue accents and beautifully irregular geometric patterns.
Hand-knotted in Morocco, KISMET combines a warm ivory wool base with shades of ochre, rust, olive green, chocolate brown, soft grey and striking cobalt blue.
What makes this rug particularly interesting is its composition. Elongated diamond shapes, smaller geometric details and freely arranged lines seem to overlap and flow into one another. The result is almost painterly, with something new to discover every time you look at it.
The thick, textured wool pile adds depth to the design, while the contrasting blue-and-white borders give the piece a distinctive finishing touch.
At 150 × 250 cm, KISMET would look beautiful in a living room or bedroom, but we can just as easily imagine it displayed on a wall as a large textile artwork.
Personally sourced in Morocco. One of a kind.
