A colorful twist on one of our original SOUK in the CITY classics.

These striped Berber baskets are instantly recognizable by their bold horizontal bands of color. Each one is handwoven from date palm leaves and wrapped with wool or cotton, creating a graphic striped pattern that gives every basket its own personality.

Some are bright and punchy, others softer or more earthy. Some have playful frizzles at the top. But just like our classic Berber baskets, no two are ever exactly alike.

Traditionally used in Morocco to store bread (khobz), today we love them as plant baskets, bathroom storage, kids’ room organizers, a colorful catch-all or simply as a decorative piece with plenty of character.
