Rare collection of boucherouite Sabra Rugs!
A unique discovery at the first berber auction that I participated in last May: I couldn't resist and bought the entire collection 🤩

Crafted by a single Moroccan lady working from the Boujad region, each of these extraordinary rugs is a unique piece, hand-knotted from wool on a cotton thread and embellished with recycled sabra silk. The warm colors of purple, yellow, and pink, accented by blues and greens, create an intricate pattern that is asymmetrical and highly artistic, making them perfect 'tapis tableaux' : pure pieces of art that would make great wall art.

These rugs were purchased at the berber auction, bypassing intermediaries and ensuring the highest quality for our customers. To maintain their beauty, vacuum, whisk, and lightly wash with traditional methods and brown soap, then dry in the sun. 

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind handmade item, and as such, may have small imperfections in weaving, pattern, or shape which only add to their character and story.
