During our last purchasing trip to Marrakech, we’ve handpicked lots of new - highly collectible - berber baskets! These are the big ones! 😍

It takes several days to make just one piece. Each basket is handmade by Berber women in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Originally designed to store bread (or khobz in Moroccan), the baskets are handwoven from coils of palm leaves, than wrapped in wool in fantastical geometric designs and simple linear stripes.
Each basket is unique & specially selected by SOUK in the CITY.

Since the baskets are handmade according to traditional craft practices and not necessarily made for retail purposes, they may have some imperfections, signs of use and age. We think that this gives it that beautiful character.
